Eugénie Viellard designs a bold jewellery, elegant and lively, the very image of her youth and her femininity.
She uses with brilliance the colours of her favourite stones: coloured sapphires, harlequin opals, Paraiba tourmalines, rubellites, quartz, turquoise and diamonds… and she pairs them with unique jewels designs which find their origin in numerous encounters with the arts and the world.
“I get thrills from the fire in the stones: I love to create a setting that transcends the gem while enchanting and delighting the bearer. Before the preparatory study drawings, I carve the jewel in modelling clay. I constantly change the shape to give it life and balance and finally I insert the stones. My designs, inspired by my travels, are for refined individuals seeking real originality”.
From Rio de Janeiro, home of her father’s family, she inherits a strong taste for Art Deco architecture and design, as well as an endless love for exotic destinations and Nature.
All her creations have a story, an origin: the Anemone Ring is inspired by the design on the Perrier-Jouët Champagne bottles, created by Emile Gallé on request of her great-great-grandfather, whose family owned the Champagne House and where she spent her childhood.
At age 16 she has a first work experience with a famous jeweller Rue de la Paix. It would later bring her to work in the world of jewellery.
In 2006, Eugénie Viellard opens her creative world. Her jewellery house, set in Paris, is located in a confidential area. The creator welcomes you by appointment. In her Parisian workshop, each jewel is hand-made, following the art and tradition of French haute joaillerie.
